Valve Reveals New Steam DEck OLED
It'll feature better battery life, too
Valve simply dropped a new Steam Deck variation, and it looks like a doozy.
You'll get a brand-new OLED screen (like Nintendo's Change OLED) for gaming, which brings high contrast, image clearness, and pure blacks. The Steam Deck OLED's screen is also bigger, which will assist everybody see the video games better while playing portably.
The business assures 30-50 percent more battery life thanks to the bigger battery, more efficient AMD chip, and OLED's capability to draw less power than LED screens. The Wi-Fi has been updated to 6e, too, which means (if you have a 6e router) quicker downloads and lower latency for those twitchy online games. Oh, and the new Steam Deck OLED is cooler than the previous version, with larger fans and better cooling functions, and about 5 percent lighter, too.
The specifications are pretty remarkable, too, with a 6 nm AMD APU, a Zen 2 4c/8t 3.5 GHz CPU, an 8 RDNA 2 CUs GPU at 1.6 GHz, and 16 GB of LPDDR5 RAM on board. It includes two storage choices, either 512 GB or 1 TB, while both models consist of a high-speed microSD slot also for broadening your library.
The older designs of Steam Deck with LDC screens get a price drop, too. It's now $349/$399/$449 for the 64/256/512 GB storage choices, and even the Steam Deck dock is a lower $79.
The current OLED variation is priced at $549 for the 512 GB model, while the 1 TB design, which includes an unique orange accent, is readily available for $649. Both designs will remain in stores on November 16.
